On 27 October the Green Construction Board hosted the Infrastructure Carbon Review One-Year-On Conference at the Department for Business Innovation and Skills.
The event was attended by over 130 delegates who came from a range of organisations across the infrastructure value chain. These included Government, clients, contractors, consultants and businesses that provide the products and materials for infrastructure construction. The delegates heard from speakers representing a cross section of businesses who have signed the Infrastructure Carbon Commitment. The speakers shared their insights and experiences demonstrating that carbon reduction and cost saving go hand in hand within infrastructure construction.
Companies Thames Tideway Tunnel, Lafarge Tarmac, Temple Group, Kier Infrastructure and Barhale Trant Utilities became the latest signatories to the Infrastructure Carbon Review (ICR).
